The areas of Park Royal, Cedardale, Sentinel Hill and the British Properties align West Vancouver’s eastern border with North Vancouver. Capilano River forms the natural border between the two districts and is aligned by the Capilano Pacific Trail. Park Royal area is famous from being Metro Vancouver’s premier shopping experience: Park Royal Mall. In a combination of indoor and open-air shopping, this mall features over 300 shops, restaurants and services. Park Royal is also the Transit Hub for West Vancouver (Translink Bus and Blue Bus), and is the start of the Capilano Pacific Trail. The Cedardale area is a hidden community between Sentinel Hill and Ambleside, and looks down on Park Royal and Lions Gate Bridge. Sentinel Hill is close to Park Royal and Lions Gate Bridge and is perched up on a small mountain. Sentinel Hill features spectacular views of the North Shore, Vancouver, and Vancouver Island. To the north of Sentinel Hill and Cedardale is the British Properties. Once owned by the Guinness Pacific Properties, the British Properties original landscaping was designed by the prestigious Omstead Brothers from Boston. This area features amazing views of Vancouver and Vancouver Island and is also home to Canada’s largest cricket clubs at Ray Hugo Park.
